It is often said that every artist has his own style of painting.... Bruce Handford has plenty of style! Entertaining the viewer with bold light and shadow, Handford’s loose painterly style captures the essence of the subject while focusing on mood of the moment.  

An award winning watercolorist, Handford has exhibited in numerous juried shows winning awards in The Pruyn Exhibition, Watercolor West National Exhibition, the North East Watercolor Society International Exhibition, the Adirondacks National Exhibition and the Transparent Watercolor Society of America Annual National Exhibition.  American Art Collector magazine featured Bruce Handford in the June 2006 issue and American Artist Watercolor magazine published an article about Handford, “The Art of Storytelling” describing his unique painting style in the Fall 2007 issue.
 
Handford is a signature member of The North East Watercolor Society and The Transparent Watercolor Society of America and an elected member of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters. His award-winning paintings have been shown in international, national and regional exhibitions and many paintings can be found in corporate and private collections across the country.
